SurfNav helps surfers make decisions about where and when to surf. This policy explains what information SurfNav may collect, why it is used, and the choices available to users.
SurfNav may collect information you provide directly, product usage and diagnostic information, approximate location or location inputs you choose to provide for surf recommendations, and technical information such as browser, device, referral source, and interaction events used to operate and improve the service.
We use information to provide and improve SurfNav recommendations, operate and secure the service, diagnose errors, understand product usage, measure marketing performance, and communicate with users when requested.
SurfNav may use Google OAuth and the YouTube Data API for owner-authorized SurfNav channel operations such as uploading SurfNav videos and reading channel/video information used for publishing status and performance reporting. Google authorization data is used only for those requested SurfNav publishing and analytics functions. SurfNav does not sell Google user data or use it for unrelated advertising.
You can revoke Google account access at any time from your Google Account permissions. Revoking access prevents SurfNav from performing future YouTube actions that require that authorization.
SurfNav may use infrastructure, analytics, authentication, database, routing, weather, marine, AI, and media-processing providers to operate the service. These providers process information only as needed to deliver their services to SurfNav.
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, legal obligations, security, and product operation. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
You may stop using SurfNav at any time, revoke connected Google authorization through your Google Account, and contact us with privacy questions or requests concerning information associated with you.
SurfNav is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy as SurfNav changes. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect material revisions.
