Delete your SurfNav account

How to request deletion

1. Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your SurfNav account.
2. Use the subject line “Delete my SurfNav account.”
3. Include the email address on the account. Do not include your password or other sensitive credentials.
4. SurfNav may ask you to verify account ownership before completing the request.

What will be deleted

After verification, SurfNav will delete the account and personal data associated with it, including account profile information, saved surf and board preferences, saved spots, and user-created journal or session information linked to the account.

What may be retained

Limited records may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Residual copies may remain temporarily in routine backups until those backups are overwritten. Retained information will not be used to personalize SurfNav.

Timing

SurfNav will begin processing a verified deletion request promptly and normally complete it within 30 days. We will contact you if more time is required by law or because additional verification is needed.

Delete data without deleting your account

You may use the same email process to request deletion of specific personal information while keeping your account. Describe the information you want deleted in your message.
